About Sadie

I’m a performer, musician, and theatre artist based in New York City. Raised on a steady diet of jazz and fantasy novels, I’ve grown up believing in the power and importance of storytelling and music.

I grew up playing the piano and saxophone and have been composing since I could get my hands on staff paper. My love for music and stories led me to dance classes and theatre and eventually, Northwestern University, where I studied Theatre and French and graduated spring of 2025 as a recipient of the Sarah Siddons Scholarship Award.

At Northwestern, I performed in shows such as Gabriel Kahane’s February House and my own original musical A Bird’s Song, and continued writing, dancing, and acting. I also grew my musical experience through music directing and arranging for my beloved a cappella group (and best friends!) The Undertones, and acting as Lead Arranger for the Northwestern Waa-Mu Show. I’ve even had the opportunity to explore things I’d never considered, like puppetry and circus, and I am so grateful for my time at NU!

Outside of music and theatre I love to read and recommend books, and I run a TikTok account with 48.5K followers that covers all things reading. On @bookchickens, I read, review, recommend and even write songs for all of my favorite dragon wielding fantasies and Jane Austens alike.

I have never lost my love for instruments and jazz, and since winning the Great American Songbook Youth Ambassador position in 2019, I’ve been lucky enough to sing jazz at places like the Palladium Theatre, Feinstein’s 54 Below, and Carnegie Hall.
